What You'll Bring:
- Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Washington
- Experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of school-based OT practices and familiarity with IEP documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and educators
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 36 students, adapting interventions as needed
- Dedication to fostering student independence and participation in school activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide direct therapy services to meet students’ sensory, motor, and adaptive needs
- Document progress and contribute to IEP meetings, sharing insights on student growth
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure continuity of care
- Support initiatives that promote an inclusive learning environment
- Engage in professional development to remain current with best practices
