You’ll be working with a diverse K-12 caseload, collaborating closely with two virtual Occupational Therapists to support student success. Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Virginia licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with virtual and onsite team members
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly to the needs of students across various grade levels
What You’ll Do:
- Implement therapy plans developed by OTs and document student progress
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Assist with assessments, goal tracking, and reporting for IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to foster student independence and participation
- Utilize virtual tools to coordinate care with remote OTs
