As an integral part of the educational team, you will provide essential support to students, working closely with two experienced virtual Occupational Therapists. Your contributions will make a tangible difference in students’ development and school success, all while collaborating in a supportive and innovative setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Comfort working across the K-12 spectrum, adapting approaches for varying age groups
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with virtual and on-site professionals
- Effective organizational skills to manage a full caseload in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students, implementing treatment plans from supervising OTs
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional life skills for classroom success
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize each student’s progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of sessions and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Position Details:
- Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
- Contract runs ASAP through the end of the current school year
- Engage with a diverse K-12 caseload in a welcoming school environment
