Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy support is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort managing a caseload with students across a spectrum of developmental and physical needs
- Adaptability to work across multiple school sites
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of occupational therapists
- Assist students in developing or enhancing self-care, social participation, and classroom-based skills
- Document progress, maintain records, and prepare materials as needed for therapy sessions
- Travel between 5-8 school sites, providing services where they’re needed most
- Maintain regular communication with supervising therapists, teachers, and families
