Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Edison, CA

This contract position is available to start as soon as possible and is anticipated to run through March, with the potential for extension based on internal staff leave.
You will play a crucial role in supporting K-12 students with a range of mild to severe needs across 5 to 8 different educational sites each month. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy variety in their daily routine and are committed to delivering compassionate, individualized care in educational environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active COTA certification required
- Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with special education populations, including varying ages and abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills, especially when coordinating across multiple sites
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, therapists, and families
- Flexibility to transition between locations and adapt to changing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy support to students as directed by a licensed OT
- Collaborate with school staff to promote student success and independence
- Assist with the implementation and documentation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain timely and accurate records for student progress and services rendered
- Travel between sites as needed, adjusting to various school environments
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to holistic student care
