Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in a school environment highly valued
- Adept at working with a K-8 population, especially middle school students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and daily activities
- Valid state licensure as required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students per IEP recommendations
- Assist in implementing individualized and group-based interventions for fine motor, sensory, and functional skills development
- Document sessions and communicate progress to supervising Occupational Therapist and educational team
- Collaborate with teachers and families to support students’ participation in the school environment
- Maintain compliance with all state and school guidelines
- Travel to three nearby school sites on a structured weekly schedule
