You’ll split your time between three local schools: spending one full day at one site and a half day each at the other two, amounting to two days of work per week. Onsite supervision ensures continuous guidance and professional development, allowing you to confidently deliver high-quality occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or interest in working with K-8th grade students, especially middle schoolers
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites in the area
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Up-to-date with any required state and federal credentials for school-based therapy services
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Foster students’ independence and participation in daily school activities
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records in compliance with school and district policies
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and team members to support student success
- Adapt interventions to the individual needs of each student within K-8th grade
