Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a COTA with credentials valid in Washington state
- Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy, providing direct and consultative services
- Familiarity with IEP/504 plans and documentation requirements in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, collaborating with OTs, teachers, families, and other professionals
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student populations and age ranges
- Reliable, organized, and able to effectively manage a school caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly with students one-on-one or in small groups to support their motor skills, independence, and access to the curriculum
- Implement therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing, carrying out, and documenting IEP goals
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to colleagues and families
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and contribute to multidisciplinary plans
- Support students’ participation in both classroom and school activities
