School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Blaine, Washington

This full-time opportunity is designed for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who has a background in school-based practice and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with an Occupational Therapist to help students achieve their academic and functional goals at a single school site located near Blaine, WA.
This contract position begins as soon as possible and will continue until a permanent direct hire is established by the district. Work a consistent schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. This role offers a meaningful chance to make a direct impact on students’ daily lives while developing your expertise in a school community.
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Proven experience working in school settings is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Skilled in implementing individualized therapy plans under OT supervision
- Strong collaboration skills and reliability
- Ability to manage a caseload and document interventions accurately
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as directed by the supervising OT
- Support and carry out individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Assist with student assessments and progress monitoring
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student planning
- Adapt therapy techniques to fit the classroom environment
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation of student progress
