Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a COTA, licensed in California
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm in working with children and adolescents
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans and strategies
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Document student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administration to support student success
- Adapt therapeutic activities to meet a variety of student needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, as needed
