Key Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials, current and valid
- Demonstrated pediatric experience, preferably within a school or educational setting
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and other therapy professionals
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about facilitating student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy support to students in alignment with IEP goals
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of onsite or remote occupational therapists
- Record and report on student progress, adapting interventions as needed
- Work cooperatively with educational teams to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Support students’ development of functional and adaptive skills essential for classroom success
- Engage with parents and staff to promote generalization of therapy goals
- Maintain compliance with school policies, confidentiality standards, and best practices
This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, running Monday through Friday for up to 25 hours per week—5 hour days that allow for work-life balance while making a lasting difference in students’ lives.
