Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required
- Previous experience in pediatric settings preferred—school-based backgrounds are especially valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, educators, and families
- Ability to develop creative treatment plans tailored to children’s individual needs
- Adaptability, professionalism, and a flexible approach to daily responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to children with diverse needs in accordance with established IEPs
- Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Track student performance and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Communicate openly with families and school staff regarding student goals and achievements
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and school initiatives to enhance service delivery
