What you'll need to succeed:
- Possession of an active Florida COTA license
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel across Hendry County to multiple K-12 school sites
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with educators, therapists, and families
- Adaptability and enthusiasm to serve the needs of different age groups and learning environments
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students with various needs
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support students’ educational goals
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans
- Document progress and maintain accurate records according to district and professional guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and convey progress updates to education teams and families
- Travel to multiple school campuses as assigned throughout the school year
