Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in East Saint Louis, IL

Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Illinois COTA license/certification
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings preferred
- Ability to connect with and support K-12 students from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy intervention plans developed by supervising OTs
- Provide support to students on your caseload, helping them develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors for school success
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate student participation and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education plans as needed
- Assist with scheduling and caseload management to ensure efficient service delivery
