Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong skills in supporting OTs with therapy implementation and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Organized, dependable, and collaborative team player
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing direct therapy services to students in grades PK–6 under OT supervision
- Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals and track student progress
- Prepare and set up materials or equipment for student interventions
- Support multiple Occupational Therapists in scheduling and caseload management
- Maintain accurate records as required by the school setting
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment, adapting activities to meet students’ unique needs
