Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Elk Grove, CA

Qualifications & Skills:
- Current COTA certification and active licensure in California (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement therapy plans as directed by supervising OTR/L
- Passion for working with children and supporting diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs under the supervision of an OTR/L
- Assist in planning, adapting, and executing interventions to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Collect data, document progress, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
- Assist OTR/L with screenings, evaluations, and development of treatment plans
- Support teachers and staff with strategies and recommendations for classroom accommodations
