Qualifications & Experience:
- Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Current licensure in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability within dynamic environments
- Commitment to supporting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapeutic services to students as specified in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement intervention plans focused on enhancing students' motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in school activities
- Accurately document students’ progress and maintain relevant records
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support generalization of skills within classroom and school settings
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and parent conferences as needed
