Key Skills & Desired Experience:
- Current California COTA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience implementing IEP-based interventions and documenting progress
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing, implementing, and revising individualized intervention plans
- Support students in gaining functional skills for academic participation, self-care, and classroom routines
- Document student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success
- Adapt equipment or modify classroom activities to enhance student engagement
