Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by an Occupational Therapist
- Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support the development of students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Collect and record data to track student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure integrated support for students
- Prepare instructional materials and adapt classroom activities to meet student needs
