- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and therapy goals
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt and tailor therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist with evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and staff to support student engagement and participation in classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance and resources to families and staff regarding therapy interventions and at-home strategies
