Desired Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Florida
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred, particularly with K–12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, therapists, and families
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for providing services at multiple locations throughout the county
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage caseloads, schedules, and documentation in a multi-site environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy interventions for K–12 students as directed by supervising OTs, addressing a variety of developmental and educational challenges
- Facilitate skill development in areas such as fine motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
- Conduct observations, collect data, and assist in assessments
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to develop and carry out IEP goals
- Maintain thorough and accurate progress notes and other necessary records
- Travel between assigned school sites as scheduled
