What We’re Looking For:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Florida
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Adaptability for serving students from kindergarten through high school
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Hendry County (with sites assigned prior to the start of the school year)
- Solid communication and record-keeping skills
- Professionalism and positive attitude when collaborating with educators, families, and other team members
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K–12 students following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Travel to assigned school sites in the county as scheduled
- Collaborate with school staff, occupational therapists, and families to promote students’ participation and independence
- Document student progress and maintain timely, accurate records as required
- Adapt and implement interventions to support learners’ motor, sensory, and organizational skills within the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and provide input on student goals and progress
