Ideal candidates bring:
- An active Occupational Therapy Assistant license through the Florida Department of Health
- Experience in, or enthusiasm for, working in school-based settings
- Flexibility to work with students from early childhood through high school
- Excellent communication skills for partnering with educators and families
- Ability to adapt and provide quality services at multiple school locations
- Efficient time-management skills and comfort navigating diverse caseloads
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Supporting student participation in classroom, social, and daily living activities
- Collecting data, documenting student progress, and maintaining records as mandated
- Coordinating scheduling and travel between assigned campuses
- Completing required district credentialing, including fingerprinting (district can utilize AHCA Clearinghouse records if previously completed)
