School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Gig Harbor, Washington
Step into a contract opportunity supporting high school students by assisting Occupational Therapists within a dynamic educational environment. Key Qualifications:
- Active Washington State COTA license required
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI
- Previous experience working in school settings or with adolescents is highly valued
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Occupational Therapists and other school staff
- Commitment to supporting students’ educational and developmental needs
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with high school Occupational Therapists to provide supportive services for students
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions designed by OTs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet individual student needs
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to student care plans
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all learners
