Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Virginia
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students, from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Implement intervention plans designed by supervising Occupational Therapists, adapting as needed to individual student needs
- Track progress and document outcomes, maintaining detailed and accurate records in accordance with school procedures
- Engage with educators and families, providing resources and strategies to reinforce student progress in the classroom and at home
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of student support plans
- Adhere to compliance and ethical standards as defined by Virginia regulations and school district policies
This position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible through 6/4.
