Key Qualifications:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Virginia
- Experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with students, educators, and caregivers
- Ability to manage and effectively support a caseload of approximately 55 K-12 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT, focusing on student goals set in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and related service staff to integrate therapy into students’ daily routines
- Track student progress, document therapy sessions, and participate in IEP team meetings as needed
- Use creative, evidence-based approaches to enhance student participation, independence, and skill development within the school environment
This position features a predictable Monday through Friday schedule—37.5 hours per week—allowing you to support students consistently throughout the school year in a collaborative, inclusive setting.
