With a start date as early as November 30 and the option to begin sooner for shadowing, this position extends through the end of the academic year in June. You’ll play a crucial role assisting licensed occupational therapists in delivering therapy for students across a range of ages, promoting growth, independence, and academic success.
Required Qualifications:
- Active California COTA license
- Prior experience in a school setting is essential
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a part-time schedule (25 hours per week)
- Comfortable traveling between multiple schools if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs, under OT supervision
- Support assessment, data collection, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement strategies that support student participation and success
- Adapt and modify classroom materials and environments as necessary
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation per district requirements
