Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California.
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued.
- Ability to collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, and support staff.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to a 40-hour workweek throughout the school year.
- Readiness to begin as soon as possible and remain through end of the school year (EOSY).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy sessions to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students’ development of fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills within the school environment.
- Document and track students’ progress, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Participate in team meetings with educators and therapists to address student needs and goals.
- Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities to support students’ engagement and development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports student growth and participation.
