Qualifications:
- Active COTA license/certification (CT DPH License and NBCOT Exam required)
- Previous school-based experience is a plus
- Experience supporting students with a wide range of ages and disabilities
- Reliable transportation to travel between school sites as needed
- Comfort working under OT supervision and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in student treatment plans under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct therapy to students across all grade levels, adapting activities and supports to meet individual needs
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation on services provided, student progress, and recommendations
- Participate in meetings and school activities as required, offering professional insight into student needs district-wide
This assignment features a steady, full-time schedule of approximately 7–7.5 hours each school day (final timing subject to district confirmation). You’ll gain valuable experience working district-wide, making an impact from early learners through high school seniors.
