Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant School-Based Contract
Part-Time 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗢𝗧𝗔)
New Caney ISD is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time, onsite contract position for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year in New Caney, TX. This position will provide therapy services to students across the K–12 population.
The position offers approximately 15 hours per week over 2 days, making it a great opportunity for a COTA looking for a consistent part-time school-based schedule. This role is focused specifically on providing occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦:
· Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
· Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities developed by the supervising OT
· Provide direct therapy services to K–12 students
· Support students with fine motor, sensory, functional, and school-based occupational therapy needs
· Monitor student progress toward established therapy and IEP goals
· Collaborate with the supervising OT, teachers, and other school staff
· Maintain accurate therapy documentation and service records
· Follow all district, state, and professional guidelines for school-based COTA services
𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘:
· Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred
· Experience working with K–12 students is a plus
· Candidates should be comfortable providing direct therapy services in a school-based setting

· Active COTA license/certification required
· Must meet all Texas requirements for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant practice
· Must meet all New Caney ISD credentialing and employment requirements
