Step into a dynamic school-based role providing essential occupational therapy services for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year! This full-time contract opportunity is designed for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
In this vibrant educational setting, you’ll support a diverse caseload, primarily elementary-aged students, with the possibility to work with middle and high schoolers as well. Collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists, teachers, and other school professionals to promote student success across various settings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid COTA licensure and certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting or pediatrics strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and related documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work with students across multiple grade levels
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and adaptive skills essential for school participation
- Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans and strategies
- Participate in team meetings, contributing expertise and collaborating on student goals
- Engage with families and school staff to share progress and resources
