Desired Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Familiarity with school-based therapy processes, IEP documentation, and goal tracking
- Ability to work collaboratively with occupational therapists, educators, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and a flexible, proactive approach to daily challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ functional skills development within classroom and small-group environments
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans and therapy activities tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and participate in team meetings as needed
- Collaborate with faculty, families, and related service providers to promote student success
- Adjust therapy techniques and strategies to align with best practices and student goals
