School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Oceanside, California
Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to make a difference within a vibrant school community near Oceanside, CA. This contract role offers the chance to work full time, with a typical schedule of 37.5 to 40 hours weekly, throughout the full 26/27 school year. If you prefer part time hours, your preference can be accommodated. As a district-wide COTA, you will collaborate closely with two knowledgeable Occupational Therapists and have an impact across multiple campuses.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license in California (required)
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to support diverse student needs
- Organized and adaptable approach to dynamic school settings
- Positive, solution-oriented mindset
Core Responsibilities:
- Working under the supervision of Occupational Therapists to implement therapy plans for students
- Supporting the development of fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills
- Recording progress and assisting in documenting outcomes
- Attending team meetings and maintaining regular communication with teachers, staff, and families
- Traveling between campuses as needed within the district
