Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Oceanside, CA

As a COTA, you’ll enjoy the variety of both direct and indirect services for students with diverse support needs. The district values collaboration and offers structured caseloads, paid administrative hours—including team meetings—and thorough training on its IEP systems. Dedicated therapy spaces are provided at schools, ensuring you have the resources and environment needed for success. Supervision is furnished by district professionals to support your practice.
We welcome both full-time (35-37.5 hours/week) and part-time applicants, offering maximum flexibility to fit your lifestyle.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active CA COTA license required
- School-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred
- Knowledge of special education regulations and IEP processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working itinerantly across multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect OT services to students in K-12 settings
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of an OT
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress and document services in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Travel between assigned schools as needed
