Your week might look different from one to the next, as caseloads and student needs can shift. You’ll be a valued member, occasionally supporting various OT team initiatives, and always encouraged to share your insight to benefit both your colleagues and students.
What we’re seeking:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) for working in a school setting
- Experience serving school-aged children in an educational environment preferred
- Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing assignments and caseloads
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to student growth, learning, and well-being
Your contributions will include:
- Implementing individualized and group therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assisting with assessments, activities, and progress documentation
- Supporting students in building and refining essential life and classroom skills
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and effective integration of therapeutic strategies
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
