Key Qualifications:
- Active or eligibility for NM RLD and NMPED licenses (assistance for those needing to obtain licensure available)
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, especially at the elementary and middle school level
- Knowledge of evidence-based OT/COTA practices in school settings
- Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload and adapt to varying student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students ages elementary through middle school
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and promote a positive learning environment
- Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Adapt therapy plans and interventions based on student responses and progress
