Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State COTA license required
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction)
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, therapists, and educational staff
- Ability to assist in implementing IEP goals and therapy interventions under the supervision of OTs
- Organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation and support notes
Job Responsibilities:
- Support occupational therapists in delivering therapy services to high school students
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work with students to build skills for academic success, independence, and participation
- Adapt and modify classroom activities as needed to meet diverse student needs
- Maintain confidential and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions
- Contribute actively to multidisciplinary team meetings and planning sessions
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
