Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Washington COTA license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Previous experience in schools or pediatrics preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and school-based documentation
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Passion for supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities by addressing sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skills
- Document student progress and maintain updated records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Communicate regularly with staff, families, and the therapy team to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning as requested
