Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, active FL DOH Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license
- School-based COTA experience preferred, though strong clinical backgrounds are welcome
- Comfortable servicing multiple campuses (3-5 schools; locations to be determined)
- Knowledgeable in supporting a range of student needs across various age groups
- Able to complete timely district credentialing, including fingerprinting (candidates previously printed with the AHCA Clearinghouse will expedite the process)
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Commitment to working on-site throughout the contract period
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs, under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions to promote student participation and success in their educational environment
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
- Adapt to a dynamic caseload with students from PreK to 12th grade, traveling between assigned schools as needed
