Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Poulsbo, WA
Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to enrich the lives of high school students in a supportive educational environment. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 17, 2027, and offers a full-time commitment of 7.5 hours per day, totaling 37.5 hours each week.
As a vital member of the student support team, you’ll collaborate directly with Occupational Therapists, helping students achieve their academic and developmental goals. You’ll find the setting rewarding, working hands-on with high schoolers to make a lasting difference every day.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Washington State
- Successfully fingerprinted through OSPI
- Prior experience in school settings or with high-school-aged students strongly preferred
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative therapy team
- Strong organizational skills and a passion for empowering students
- Ability to provide documentation of current credentials and licensure upon request
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of OT treatment plans developed by licensed Occupational Therapists
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in a high school environment
- Assist in documentation and tracking of student progress
- Adapt activities and materials to meet individualized needs
- Communicate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
