In this role, you’ll closely collaborate with a dedicated district Occupational Therapist and play a vital part in student development across multiple grade levels. Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a COTA and eligibility to work in a school environment
- Experience (or strong interest) in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with OTs
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Adaptability and a team-oriented approach to collaborating with educators, parents, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development to foster classroom participation and independence
- Document progress, contribute to IEP meetings, and assist with evaluations as needed
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support holistic student growth
