Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Santa Monica, CA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity, making a meaningful impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an elementary school environment. This full-time, onsite role serves an elementary caseload within a collaborative, supportive setting. As a valued partner in the educational team, you’ll help students develop essential life and classroom skills, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The contract extends through June 9, 2027, allowing you to build lasting relationships and see your students grow.
Your dedication to fostering student independence and participation will shine as you implement therapy plans, collaborate with teachers and families, and maintain detailed documentation—all while working in a vibrant school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active California COTA license (required)
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy support in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite and engage with students in a classroom environment
- Ready to begin ASAP and commit through the duration of the contract
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to an elementary caseload under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support student participation in educational activities by implementing individualized intervention plans
- Work closely with educators and families to promote student progress
- Complete detailed, accurate documentation of all services provided
- Participate in school-based meetings and multidisciplinary teams
