As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll work alongside skilled Occupational Therapists, providing vital support that fosters students’ success and independence. This full-time position runs from now through June 17, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Washington State
- Successful fingerprinting clearance through OSPI
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, especially supporting high school-aged students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset with a positive, student-centered attitude
- Ability to adapt and contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Occupational Therapy team to implement individualized intervention plans
- Support students in developing fine motor, organizational, and self-care skills
- Document student progress and contribute insightful updates for IEP meetings
- Prepare therapeutic materials and adapt classroom activities for diverse student needs
- Communicate clearly with students, staff, and families to foster engagement
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with district, local, and state guidelines
