Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Washington
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively support and implement individualized student intervention plans
- Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable with a collaborative approach
- Proficient in documenting services per required guidelines
What You’ll Do:
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to implement occupational therapy plans under the supervision of an OT
- Assist in creating and modifying activities to improve students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Communicate progress and challenges to the supervising OT and educational team
- Maintain accurate records of all sessions and interventions
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Support a positive, encouraging environment where every student is set up to succeed
