Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Temecula, CA
A full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is needed for an exciting contract opportunity supporting students in a district-wide school setting near Temecula, CA. This position offers 37.5 to 40 hours per week for the duration of the full 26/27 school year contract, with the flexibility to consider part-time hours if that better fits your needs. As a COTA in this role, you'll collaborate closely with two Occupational Therapists, making a meaningful impact across various campuses.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in California
- Previous experience in school-based settings is preferred, though not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads and adapt to different school environments
- Organized, motivated, and passionate about student development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of OTs
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet students’ therapeutic goals
- Track student progress and help document outcomes for reporting and compliance
- Support Occupational Therapists in the development of therapy materials and strategies
- Work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and parents to ensure successful outcomes for students
