Qualifications & Experience:
- Current NM licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required
- Previous school-based COTA experience preferred
- Proficient in providing both direct and consultative OT services
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong organizational, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to travel within an itinerant model
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT support to students to help them succeed in academic and daily activities
- Provide consultative input to educators and family members
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and write comprehensive reports
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating on student goals
- Adapt therapy strategies for diverse learning needs and environments
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students
You’ll enjoy working regular daytime hours Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while being part of a supportive OT department. Contract dates run from August through May, giving you access to a full academic year’s schedule.
