Qualifications:
- Active COTA or OT license in Massachusetts required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with K-8 age groups strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering student independence and functional success in the learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring occupational therapy services
- Conduct therapy sessions targeting fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, and daily living activities
- Accurately document student progress, maintaining up-to-date records as required by school policies
- Collaborate with supervising OT and multidisciplinary teams to adjust interventions and maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights for student care plans
