Make an immediate impact in the educational setting as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a part-time contract basis. This backfill role offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students for two days per week through June 2027. Collaborate closely with a virtual OT to provide essential support and interventions that help students achieve their academic and functional goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Experience or strong interest in both healthcare and school-based COTA roles
- Prior work with K-12 student populations preferred
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, especially in hybrid or remote collaboration
- Organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload and multiple school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by supervising occupational therapist, including both in-person support and collaboration with a virtual OT
- Assist with documentation and progress reports for students
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs and goals
- Support teachers and school staff in integrating strategies within classrooms
- Communicate with families and school team members as necessary to ensure student success
