Required Qualifications:
- Valid and current Illinois COTA license
- Compliance with all district and state requirements for school-based practice
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other therapy staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to foster an inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Support licensed occupational therapists in assessing students and carrying out individualized intervention programs
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help, and adaptive functioning strategies
- Implement targeted interventions as outlined in students’ IEPs under the direction of the supervising OT
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and assist with required reporting
- Communicate observations and recommendations clearly with staff and families
- Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate on student support plans
