You’ll be working full-time, covering 35-37.5 hours weekly, with responsibilities spread across multiple school sites—including elementary, middle, and high school settings. Each day provides a unique experience as you travel between campuses within the district, supporting students’ growth and independence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Valid Illinois educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and environments
- Fingerprinting requirement must be completed as part of onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions as prescribed by an Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ participation and success in school routines and activities
- Collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized student plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records
- Travel between assigned school sites to provide direct services to a diverse caseload
