Located near Roodhouse, IL, this assignment allows you to make an immediate impact within a local school community, working closely under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist.
This position offers a flexible 24-hour work week, spread over three days (Monday, Tuesday, and a third day of your choosing), giving you the work-life balance you desire. You’ll provide direct services to a manageable caseload of 31 students, supporting their individual needs and growth throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Your expertise will help ensure students reach their full potential in both academic and functional performance.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Illinois.
- Previous school-based experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, student-centered care.
- Ability to write quarterly therapy minutes and maintain organized documentation.
- Comfortable working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in grades K-12.
- Support therapy goals as directed by the supervising OT.
- Monitor student progress and assist with data collection and reporting.
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families.
